Er wordt geen bijzondere bijstand verstrekt voor fysiotherapie en oefentherapie. Op grond van de basisverzekering wordt fysiotherapie voor chronische aandoeningen vergoed. Er bestaat recht op vergoeding van medisch noodzakelijke fysiotherapie en oefentherapie. Onder fysiotherapie wordt tevens verstaan bekkenfysiotherapie, geriatrie fysiotherapie, kinderfysiotherapie, lymfedrainage/oedeemtherapie, littekentherapie, manuele therapie en psychosomatische therapie.
