1. Persons performing missions for the Tribunal shall enjoy the privileges, immunities and facilities under Articles VI and VII of the General Convention, which are necessary for the independent exercise of their duties for the Tribunal. 2. The right and the duty to waive the immunity referred to in paragraph 1 above in any particular case where it can be waived without prejudice to the administration of justice by the Tribunal and the purpose for which it is granted, shall lie with the President of the Tribunal.
