**1.** This Agreement shall enter into force on the first day of the second month following the date of the last note in an exchange of diplomatic notes between the Parties confirming that all necessary procedures for entry into force of this Agreement have been completed.
**2.** Upon entry into force, this Agreement shall supersede, in the relations between the United States of America and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in respect of Sint Maarten, the Air Transport Agreement between the United States of America and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in respect of the Netherlands Antilles, relating to Air Transport between the Netherlands Antilles and the United States of America, signed at Washington on July 14, 1998.
