1. The privileges, immunities and facilities provided for in Articles 17, 18 and 19, of this Agreement are granted in the interests of the Office and not for the personal benefit of the persons themselves. 2. The Secretary-General shall have the right and duty to waive the immunity granted under this Agreement of any person in any case where, in the Secretary General’s opinion, the immunity would impede the course of justice and can be waived without prejudice to the interests of the Office.
